Faux Felt Food

This week, we attended a faux felt food play date for our Holistic Moms Network group. I have to say, it was so well organized and extremely fun to attend. I do wish my child was a little more interested in playing with the other babies. But, I’m sure I’m to blame for his clinginess at times. He’s constantly evolving, and at the moment, I think he’s a bit sleep deprived or going through a growth spurt or something.

Anyway, I think this play date was inspired by this blog. If not, that’s at least where the templates came from. I think making faux food is such a great idea, and we decided that felt is such a versatile and awesome material!

Here’s some of the food I’ve made so far:

I was only able to accomplish 2 chocolate chip cookies at the actual play date.

I managed to cut out all of the pieces I wished to work on during nap time.

I hope these look like butter cookies with royal icing!

I can’t believe I was actually up until almost 2am sewing all of these! (Except the chocolate chip cookies)
