We had so much fun making vanilla extract, recently. It’s actually very easy to make.
4-5 Whole Vanilla Beans
1 cup Vodka or Rum
1. Make a slit lengthwise to open up each vanilla bean.
2. Place beans in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid.
3. Pour in alcohol.
4. Let sit in a cool, dark place for 2 months. Shake occasionally or once a day.
5. Enjoy in your favorite recipe.
